Groundbreaking at Cesar Chavez Villas II

One month ago, on July 27th 2017, there was a ceremonial groundbreaking to mark the beginning of construction on a new affordable housing community called Cesar Chavez Villa II.

We are very proud and honored to be a partner in this new development that will not only be a great living environment to live in but also a community that will promote education and self sufficiency to all its residents.

Soon after full occupancy at this property we will be implementing a Resident Services Program that will include for children: homework tutoring, computer classes, arts & crafts, soccer clinics, a book reading program and other enrichment activities.

For the adults, we will be offering computer classes, ESL and citizenship classes, job counseling, financial education workshops and a food distribution program in conjunction with local agencies and the business community.

Our overall objective is help build a community with many opportunities for all residents to prosper.

The site is expected to be completed in June of 2018, and will consist of 80 units for farm workers and the homeless in the city of Cochella.
