18th Annual Encinitas Rotary Wine & Food Festival Recap

The annual Encinitas Rotary Wine & Food Festival made its highly anticipated return on September 18th. Celebrating its 18th year, the Encinitas Rotary Wine & Food Festival offered 13 local non-profits, including Pacific Southwest CDC, an opportunity to raise money for their services and programs that will benefit communities in various areas. Over 500 attendees gathered at the Encinitas Ranch Golf Course to relax and enjoy an evening of music and sampling fine wine and delectable dishes from local restaurants and caterers. This year's festival raised an estimated $115,000 in sponsorships and admission and raffle ticket sales for the event's non-profit beneficiaries.

The Encinitas Rotary Wine & Food Festival enacted additional safety measures this year for the safety of attendees. Typically, the festival would have over 1,000 attendees in previous years due to its popularity. Ticket sales this year, however, were limited to reduce capacity. Attendees were also highly encouraged to wear masks and to social distance as often as possible. Even with the extra precautions, attendees thoroughly enjoyed this evening.

PSCDC would like to express our deepest gratitude to Chelsea Investment Corporation and Peterson & Price Law Firm for sponsoring this year's Encinitas Wine & Food Festival on our behalf once again. Their sponsorship contributed a considerable part to the success of the festival and the future of PSCDC's affordable housing communities across California.

We also extend our thanks to those who supported us by purchasing admission and raffle tickets. This year, our staff sold an astonishing estimate of 700 raffle tickets within Imperial, San Diego, and Orange County! Their contributions allow us to continue funding the services and supplies that PSCDC residents request.

"The Encinitas Rotary Wine & Food Festival is a unique way of raising money while engaging with beneficiaries," says Juan Arroyo, PSCDC's Executive Vice President. "It helps not only us, but the other 12 non-profit organizations throughout the region to pay for their needs. We will be using some of our earnings to fund staff training and support, like paying admission to the upcoming San Diego Housing Federation Annual Conference for our Site Coordinators."

With the 18th Annual Encinitas Rotary Wine & Food Festival now in the books, we are looking forward to next year's event, which we anticipate will return to its usual large attendance and its vast selection of wine and food vendors. We hope that you come and join us next year!
