PSCDC Imperial's Response to Growing Need for Food Security During Pandemic
Across the nation, the number of households facing food insecurity has skyrocketed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. According to a study conducted in June of last year by Northwestern University, food insecurity more than doubled due to the economic crisis caused by the pandemic and has affected as many as 23% of households from late April to mid-March last year. San Diego's January Food Distribution Summary
Last month has been busy for all our Resident Services Coordinators in San Diego County. The coordinators have stayed in close contact through phone calls and emails with our residents. We have been listening closely to each resident's needs and concerns! In January, our San Diego communities received extra food support, and seniors received assistance in setting up appointments for their vaccinations.
